COLLOIDAL CHEMISTRY APPLICATIONS

WISE non-toxic cleaners, degreasers (solvents), pest control, plant care and bioremediation products come from a type of advanced nanomaterials science known as green, "colloidal chemistry."

WISE colloidal products deliver ultimate performance with no toxic side-effects. Conventional products, and even most other "green" formulations, leave behind a toxic residue that is harmful to the environment. Not so with WISE Solutions. And because WISE colloidal products use submicroscopic-sized active ingredients (see below), they can easily penetrate tough-to-reach places that ordinary formulas cannot.

Through proprietary formulation, WISE colloidal chemistry works to break down the target substances into benign, eco-friendly elements such as nitrogen and CO2.
Our product line addresses these six application areas. Click on a topic to learn more.

1. Cleaners & Degreasers
2. Colloidal Biopesticides: Insect, Fungus or Weed Control
3. Fertilizers / Plant Care & Feeding
4. Mold & Odor Elimination
5. Sanitizers and Disinfectants
6. Waste Water Treatment

  1. Cleaners and Degreasers for industrial purposes such as

  2. Colloidal Bio-Pesticides, Fungicides, & Herbicide: target and control pest populations without harm to workers, the environment, or other animals.
Take control of insects with WISE Colloidal Bio-Insect Control, including mosquitos, aphids, flies, ticks, lygus and all arthropods -- it works on larval, pupae, and adult stages of specific insect species through varied dilution rates.
WISE Bio-Mold Away lifts up and washes away mold, mildew and other fungus, and is an NSF A1-registered "food grade" formula (see below).
    WiseUp!
Bio-Weed Control herbicide knocks down weeds and keeps them down. These products are so non-toxic (to the ecosystem, humans and other critters) that they are exempt from registration under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act, under rule 25b (more on this topic).

  3. Fertilizers / Plant Care & Nutrition -- Using the power of colloidal chemistry, all varieties of fruits and vegetables can be treated from sprouts to ready-to-harvest. Nutrients can be delivered through a drip system or foliar feeding. The nutrients are soluablized by the action of colloidal micelles making the nutrients immediately available to the plant. (details coming)

Wine grapes, for example, can be treated for Botrytis cinerea mold on the bark before bud break, then through the drip system to strengthen the root zone, and later still via a foliar feed with micro amounts of plant sugars. This can be used to control the sugar content before harvest, making it easier to predict the right moment for harvest.

  4. Mold and Odor Elimination. WISE technology is not a watered-down, consumer-level mold “treatment” … industrial customers want the mold gone. Really gone. This product blasts away visible areas of mold and even penetrates into the roots beneath the surface, breaks them up, lifts and liquefies its components and washes them away.

WISE formulas can penetrate highly viscous or porous materials, are perfect for hard to access areas and as preventative maintenance for areas prone to moisture infiltration. Areas treated with WISE Bio-Mold Away will also eliminate most organic sourced odors, including cigarette smoke and urine.
(See product datasheets for Bio-Mold Away [PDF][MSDS][Buy] or Bio-Odor Away [PDF][MSDS][Buy] -- both are NSF A1 "food grade" formulas.)

  5. Sanitizers & Disinfectants -- eliminates microbes and disinfects equipment, surfaces, hands, etc. (Note status: WISE has applied to have our sanitizer products sub-registered under the EPA program... stay tuned.)

  6. Waste Water Treatment: From dealing with contaminants at the source point (for example, treating the waste water used by processors of tomatoes, olives, and other fruits and vegetables, or treating the bilge water of marine vessels) to moving downstream for improved municipal waste water treatment, WISE colloidal chemistry has been used to improve Biological Oxygen Demand, the rate of oxygen uptake by micro-organisms. (BOD Reduction Case Studies)

Cost Effective and Performance Driven: Normally, products require roughly 25% active ingredients by volume to do their job; WISE products use only 2% active ingredients. These concentrated colloidal solutions save money in several ways: green chemistry designs are less resource intensive, generate less waste, and come from renewable materials (not keyed to fluctuating petroleum prices), they use less packaging and incur less storage and transportation costs (smaller eco-footprint), and they're easier and safer to use. All this on top of superior functional performance!

How It Works: Renewable, food grade ingredients are processed to form small particles called "micelles." Colloidal micelles work at the molecular level by penetrating into larger hydrocarbon molecules and breaking them up. In this way, hydrocarbon bonds are broken and stay that way.

Micelles are sub-microscopic, electrically charged particles that, when activated in water, repel each other in a ceaseless random movement. Micelles in liquid solution are 50-100 times smaller than the particles created from typical cleaners, solvents and detergents.

Micelles range in size between one and four nanometers, roughly the size of ten hydrogen atoms, or 1/80,000 the width of a human hair. Scientists classify our colloidal base material as a "very, very, very fine soap."

Nanocolloidal micelleThe micelle’s small particle size combined with its extremely high surface-area-to-volume ratio enable it to penetrate complex carbon molecules and emulsify (blend together the elements of) organic matter. When micelles are activated, each one is completely surrounded by a thin layer of water molecules. The outer hydrophilic shell aggressively searches for and bonds with water molecules, making them hyper-mobile. The head of the micelle is hydrophilic, meaning it likes water, while the interior portion is hydrophobic, meaning it avoids water. This provides a way to dissolve molecules that do not like water, in water. No toxic ingredients and no waste!
